CPCC Geek Festival
Interested in technology and innovations in the field? Central Piedmont Community College will hold its 6th annual technology festival to satisfy the craving of any technology-hungry individual.
THE Geek Festival will explore the latest innovations in technology as well as technical career opportunities. Learning tracks offered by the college will include innovations and technology, simulation and game development, geomatics and sustainability.
The festival will also host speakers discussing topics such as geospatial technology, simulation and gaming, 3D modeling and animation, green technologies and sustainability, e-learning, digital media, social networking and sciences. Key Note Speakers include CPCC instructors Rodney Jackson, Marc Tucker, Keith Ratliff, and CPCC employees Scarlett Hollingsworth and Alissa Notte.
Activities will include demonstrations, webcasts, video game tournaments, music contests and door prizes. The activities will run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., followed by the professional seminars and training.
