MOVIES:

Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture is presenting two family-friendly animated films created by Sweet Blackberry celebrating African-American history makers. The film "Garrett’s Gift" is narrated by award winning actress and vocalist Queen Latifah and tells the story of African-American Inventor Garrett Morgan. 

The other film "The Journey of Henry Box Brown" is narrated by Oscar-nominated actress Alfre Woodard and tells the true tale of a lsave who mailed himself to freedom in a wooden box.
