Is your church ready for early voting?
We got the following email from Colette Forrest detailing how local churches may get involved in early voting ahead of the Nov. 8 general election, so we thought we’d pass it along.
For those of you in the Qcity who don’t know Colette, check out her political blog, www.flavainyourear.com.
Sunday, October 30, 2011 is a chance your Church can participate in voting!
That Sunday can be your Souls to the Polls Sunday!
Attached you will find the 2011 General Election early vote locations including Sunday voting on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 1pm-4pm!
I understand that Churches are non-profit and must remain non-partisan so there is no candidate information in this e-mail or in the attachment.
Your Church can also do a voter registration project up until the deadline this Friday, October 14, 2011.
You can pick up the voter registration forms at the Board of Elections located on 741 Kenilworth Avenue downstairs from the law office of Ferguson, Stein & Chambers.
Their website is www.meckboe.org and phone number is 704-336-2133.
Please let me know how I can assist you. I do voter registration/voter education workshops.
Thank you very much for your thoughtful consideration!
Colette Forrest
