Nothing separates us from the love of God
Grandmother used to always say, “You are never alone; the good Lord is watching over you day and night..jpg)
Isn’t it good to know that we are never alone? As we are blessed to be in this new decade, let us be reminded that we are never alone. No matter what comes our way, our Heavenly Father is watching over us.
One of my favorite scriptures, Psalm 139 verses 7-10, reads thusly, “Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there. If I take the wings of the morning and settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me fast.”
The very nature of this powerful portion of scripture suggests to us that He, our God, is ever present, and that no matter where we are, He is there also. It also suggests to us that even when we are in the worst places in our lives, He is there, too.
Who would not want to know a God that is everywhere and ready to guide us into the right path? Who would not want to know a God that is everywhere and is ready to forgive us, even when we find ourselves in the wrong place? Who would not want to know a God that is everywhere and is ready to show His mercy and grace? Who would not want to know such a God?
This week, go with the assurance that this same God of the Psalmist who is our Heavenly Father, too, is always near. Let us pray with a spirit of thanksgiving for such an Omnipresent God.

Our Sovereign Lord,
We come this week with praise and thanksgiving for Your almighty presence of love, grace and plenteous mercy. We thank You for reminding us that You are the bridge over our troubled waters. We thank You for never letting go of our hands as we strive to run this race called life. We thank You for reminding us that there is no place we can go here on earth and beyond that You are not there with us. We thank You for putting the right people in our path to lead us closer to You. We thank You for being the compass in our lives that guides and directs our path to You.
We thank You for Your still, small voice as You continue to speak Your purpose into our lives. We thank You for Your compassionate touch, for it reminds us when we are feeling low and out of reach that You are still there. When we feel lost and in despair we can hear Your steps as You move to pick us up and place us on the right path, and for that we say, “Thank You.”
We thank You for the precious gift of Your Son, Jesus the Christ, whom You gave to us to show that when we trust You nothing can separate us from Your love. We thank You for Jesus who died on Calvary and rose with all power so that we can have access to You, our Heavenly Father. We thank you for being our Sovereign Lord. It is in the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen Amen and Amen.
