You’ll seldom hear the name Jesus combined with the words “pole dancing,” but one woman wants to change that.

Crystal Deans is a fitness instructor based in the Houston area. She teaches women in stilettos how to pole dance to Christian music. Deans told a Houston-based-affiliate of Fox News she believes the classes are a way of “continuing this whole worship thing.”

The former “dancer” said she wants to remove the stigma attached to the pole. She told ABC News, the controversial class is not about sex or stripping; it’s about getting closer to God and taking care of the body that God has given you.
