Love that red
Wear a red tie and suddenly you know exactly who you are, what you want and how to
obtain it. Slip on a pair of red shoes and without hesitation you feel complete and are clear about where you stand.
Paint your dining room red and you've boldly expressed yourself in the most conservative manner.
Some will say this puts too much power in the definition of one color. Others are a witness that a color can own you, or better yet, you can own that color.
Think about it: Do you know someone who wears red often? Perhaps they have a red car. Maybe they told you red is their favorite color.
Now think about the attributes of that person. Are they ambitious, driven, confident and direct?
Do they seem motivated by the opportunity to direct others or have little to no tolerance for ineptness?
Could that describe you, oh lover of red?
If so, you'll proudly admit it and wear it as a badge of honor. That's who you are. It's what you do.
It's easy for you to reveal the fun, youthful side of yourself because you are confident in your skin. An accumulation of wealth and status is a means to show others your self worth.
But while money is important to you, you would give the shirt off your back. You are loyal to the end, a true friend, indeed. You make things happen.
The world needs people like you.
I don't have to tell you where or how to inject a little red in your home’s color scheme. In fact, I would probably tell you how to combine it with more yellows and blues. By doing this you may find yourself loosening the reigns to explore other avenues, to accomplish things outside of your world.
If red is your least favorite color, meaning it would be next to impossible to find a collection of anything red in your possession, then I suggest you start by adding a red book on the coffee table, or an oil painting with variations of red woven into it.
You would benefit greatly from red's attention to detail and targeted performance.
The most important message to glean on the power of any color is to embrace who you are by designing your interior space to suit your personality. However, don't forget to reveal your vulnerabilities by incorporating colors you would typically resist throughout your home.
By doing this, you will discover a more complete you.
