The UNC Charlotte Black Student Union and the National Pan Hellenic Council will host their annual Main Event step show on Friday, April 3.

The lineup includes a faculty/staff step teaser, a modeling showcase and, of course, the Main Event -- step performances from various sororities and fraternities.

Eight organizations, each with its own style, will each perform a 10-minute step routine.

"Our students have been working on this event for months,” said Vidal Dickerson, director of the Multicultural Resource Center. “UNC Charlotte step shows go back to the early 90's. It is a tradition that is anticipated each year and a wonderful event."

The National Pan-Hellenic Council includes student chapters of the following nine sororities and fraternities: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Black Student Union office.
