We can only assume the fight has gone out of Chris Brown.

In a Los Angeles courtroom today, the R&B singer pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault on pop star Rihanna. Brown entered the plea before a preliminary hearing was set to start.

Rihanna had been on standby to testify.

Brown will be sentenced Aug. 5.

According to the Associated Press, terms of the plea deal call for him to serve five years of formal probation and six months, or roughly 1,400 hours, of community labor.

Brown will be allowed to complete his probation in his home state of Virginia, according to the AP. He’ll have to either remove graffiti or do roadside cleanup.

One thing he won’t be allowed to do: Visit Rihanna. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg ordered him to stay away.

For those just landed on earth, Brown was arrested Feb. 8 after he hit and threatened Rihanna after leaving a pre-Grammy party in Los Angeles. He was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats.
