Last week Chris Brown pleaded guilt to felony assault and was sentenced to five year’s probation.

This week Brown is making his rounds telling anyone who’ll listen that he still loves and is in love with Rihanna.

On August 26, the musician sat down with PEOPLE magazine for his first interview and – as his mother Joyce Hawkins, a victim of domestic abuse herself, sat nearby – opened up about his shame over that "terrible" night.

He’ll be on CNN’s Larry King Live on September 2.

Here’s what Brown said he thinks when he sees the photo from that unfortunate evening, “When I look at it now, it’s just like, wow, like, I can’t — I can’t believe that — that actually happened.” He says he doesn’t remember beating Rihanna that night.
