April Fool's Day is a time to play pranks and have a little fun at the expense of your friends and family, but what Christopher Henderson and Stacey Richards did on April 1 was no joking matter.

The couple had met nine months earlier at a church-sponsored bowling event. They discovered they shared a love of running. Their predawn runs together would become the basis for a full-fledged courtship.

Then something changed. About a month before April Fool’s Day, they came up with a plan, and it was no joke.
