Comedian and radio personality Tone-X will be honored at a surprise celebrity roast to celebrate his national career.

Y Square Management will present this red carpet event on Monday, August 3, at Apostrophe Lounge.

Bluz, national spoken word artist, will host the event along with other local entertainers from Power 98 FM and the Carolina Panthers.

In addition to his personality on Power 98 FM, Tone-X is the president of "Tone-X Extended Family," a nonprofit organization. He is the official host the Charlotte Bobcats and serves as one of the board of directors for Alley Hoops Jam, a nonprofit foundation.

Tone -X recently joined comedian Monique for the national "Soul Summer Fest Tour," and Mike Epps on the "Mike Epps & friends Tour." He's hosted events for hip-hop artists like Jay-Z, T.I., Rick Ross, KRS One and the late Notorious B.I.G., and was the opener for the comedy tour "Kings of Comedy."
