Don Cornelius wants to die alone
Poor Don Cornelius.
Apparently, the legendary king of “Soul Train” isn’t doing so well.
According to TMZ.com, Cornelius was in such a hurry to get a divorce from his ex-wife Viktoria, that he actually put the following lines in divorce papers he submitted to L.A. County Superior Court:
"I am 72 years old. I have significant health issues. I want to finalize this divorce before I die."
The judge didn’t make him wait. His divorce was granted a couple of weeks ago.
Earlier this year, the Soul Train creator sold the rights and licensing to his famous TV show, and now a lot of classic episodes featuring The Jacksons, The Staple Singers, LaBelle, Al Green, Marvin Gaye and Shalamar, to name a few, will be featured in a new packaged DVD set.
