Uptown Charlotte will launch a new event this week – the Find Your Center Jazz Series.

This free, lunch-time concert is sponsored in part by Center City Partners and will occur the first Wednesday of each month until August.

Bring your own food or buy a $5 lunch on the spot from McCormick & Schmick.

This month’s band is John Alexander's Band: Big Octave. This group has an innovative style and an eclectic repertoire: they perform their own original works, as well as music by many other artists, formed into new and unconventional arrangements.
