Tickets to the Sept. 18 Lady Gaga “Monster Ball” concert at Charlotte’s Time-Warner Cable Arena and the Sept. 19 show at Raleigh’s RBC Center will go on sale Friday, April 9.

LiveNation, which is promoting the tour, said 16 shows have sold out, including three in New York, two in Los Angeles, two in Boston and two in San Jose, Calif.

The North American leg of the “Monster Ball" tour kicks off in Montreal on June 28 and will include 31 shows in the United States and Canada.

Lady Gaga played to sold-out crowds during her swing through Europe.

In a February interview with Los Angeles radio station KIIS-FM, Lady Gaga described the show as “more of a musical and less of a concert. It has a New York theme, it's a story, and the story is that me and my friends are in New York and we're going to the Monster Ball, and we get lost."
