Healthy hair starts with choosing the right products
A lot of people buy and use products that are wrong for their hair pattern and texture.
That is one of the main reasons for breakage, dryness and hard-to-manage hair.
So when selecting hair care products, think of it this way: Your hair is like building a house. If the foundation (product) is wrong, eventually the house (your hair) will crumble.
While vacationing in Virginia, I forgot my shampoo. Needless to say, the hotel shampoo was not for my curly hair and left it feeling like sandpaper. It took me a month to get my hair back on track and stop the curls from frizzing.
We need shampoos and conditioners to maintain our unruly hair. I recommend you read the labels to pick the proper product for your hair texture.
This is an important step when choosing any product, especially shampoos and conditioners, because they're the building blocks for healthy hair. The wrong shampoo and conditioner can strip the hair of natural moisture and leave your curly tress dry, frizzy and hard to manage. Over time, the hair will begin to break and split ends will occur.
The second step to healthy hair is finishing aids. These are pomades, creams, curly custards and oils. One of my favorite curly moisturizers is Luscious Balanced Cream from Bee Mine Products. I like it because it gives curls the hydration it needs. I also like Gloss Pomade by Kinky Curly, because it makes those curls shine.
To get the best products for your hair, determine your hair texture (fine, medium or thick). Also you need to know your hair pattern (wavy, curly or tight coils), because many individuals can have a combination of hair texture and patterns. Eliminate the wrong products and your hair will flourish and grow.
