The CIAA tournament is over, and what a busy week it was.

On Saturday night, I attended the Diddy bash held at the Ramada, where more than 2,000 people came out to see the rapper.

Some people still can't believe Diddy actually came to the Qcity, but he was here, and I had a chance to talk with him on camera (see video).

The media mogul and his crew hung out in the posh Platinum V.I.P. area, which was built just for him, for about 25 minutes. Diddy was all smiles as he shook hands and greeted people. He even posed for a few photographs with fans and the promoters.

The event went well, despite a rumor circulating on gossip Web site Mediatakeout.com and others claiming that there was "beef" between Diddy and rapper Jadakiss, who was also in the Platinum VIP area.

"We want to be clear that the event was a huge success," said Johnny Taylor and Duane Massey of Taylor Massey Entertainment, the promoters of "THE EVENT." "There were no problems between Diddy and Jadakiss."

Don't believe the hype of the rumor. I was behind the velvet ropes with Diddy, and here's what I saw. Jadakiss enter the area (He and his crew had been at the party for about an hour when Diddy arrived), he shook hands with Diddy and give him some dap. The two chatted for a few minutes and sipped on drinks before Jadakiss returned to his crew, who were sitting at a large, round table in the middle of the room.

A few minutes later, Diddy's security team escorted him and his entourage through a back hallway that lead to the atrium, where a stage was set up so that he could perform.

It was intense, running with the entertainer and his security through the hallway.

It got even crazier because, while he was performing, the speakers blew out on the sound system. Always the entertainer, Diddy couldn't let the speakers stop his flow, so he decided to move the party into another large ballroom, where he performed again.

Imagine hundreds of fans chasing after him and his team as he sprinted from the main area to the second ballroom.

After his second performance, he gave more shout-outs. The whirlwind of excitement ended as Diddy made a swift exit through a side door.

When I returned to the VIP area, Jadakiss was still there, sitting with his crew, relaxing and taking pictures with fans.

All I can say is, what a night.
