Hip-hop mogul Sean “Jay-Z” Carter is writing his first book.

The book which is yet untitled will be released on Speigel and Grau, an imprint of Random House.

Will  he talk about his relationship with his wife, Beyoncé or his fall-out with ex-business partner Damon Dash? Probably not.

The "semi-memoir" is said to give background information and personal stories about some of the multi-platinum artists’ most famous works.

No date has been set but some say it may be released near the time he drops his latest album, The Blue Print III on September 11.
