Rapper Lil Wayne is extending his “I Am Still Music” tour and will be performing in Charlotte later this summer.

The rapper successfully completed the first leg of his 25 city “I Am Still Music” trek, selling out arenas across the country. He will be back on the road July through September to complete the second leg of the tour, which includes shows in over 40 cities.

Lil Wayne plays Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte on Sunday, August 7. Special guests Rick Ross, Keri Hilson, The Far East Movement and Lloyd will open the show.

Tickets go on sale next Friday June 17 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at LiveNation.com, The Hardees Thickburger box office at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, Ticketmaster or charged by phone at 800-745-3000 .

Lil Wayne is in the midst of a high charting radio single "6 Foot 7 Foot" and the pending release of his hotly anticipated 10th studio album “Tha Carter IV.”
