Bad boy Lil Wayne is headed to the slammer today.

The rapper’s one year sentence begins in New York at Rikers Island for a gun possession charge that happen in 2007.

"This is Lil Wayne going to jail. Nobody can tell me what that's like," the rapper told Rolling Stone magazine for its latest issue. "I just say I'm looking forward to it."

His latest album, "Rebirth," was officially released Feb. 2 and he’s already shot videos in advance so that fans won’t be left without a Wayne video to watch.
