This Saturday, March 10 at 12:30 p.m., the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Art + Culture presents Lovin' Lindy — The History of Lindy Hop & Dance Lesson, a talkback session on the history of the dance form called Lindy Hop.

At the event, dancer Stephanie Simpson will present an informational session highlighting the early influences on Lindy Hop, the dance's Golden Age at the Savoy, the early and second-generation lindy hoppers, and the swing revival.

Simpson will also provide dance demonstrations along with her husband Eric, followed by a beginner East Coast Swing dance lesson at 1 p.m. (no experience or partner necessary).

Lovin’ Lindy is free with museum admission, but RSVP is required. To RSVP or for more information, visit www.ganttcenter.org.
