Madonna wins.

Malawi’s high court today said the Material Girl can adopt a second child from that impoverished African nation. The ruling overturns a lower court’s decision.

Chief Justice Lovemore Munlo, reading the three-judge panel's ruling, also said the singer's commitment to helping disadvantaged children should have been taken into account when deciding on Madonna's request to adopt 3-year-old Chifundo "Mercy" James, says the Associated press.

Madonna founded the Raising Malawi charity, which helps feed and educate Malawian orphans, many of whom lost parents to AIDS.
