With Friday's ribbon-cutting, the Mint Museum Uptown is officially open, the latest addition to Charlotte's arts & cultural district.

By any measure, the $56 million, five-story structure is impressive, inside and out, and it’s potential impact on uptown Charlotte is enormous. More immediately, the opening means 24 hours of parties, cultural events and FREE ADMISSION on Saturday.
