Michael Vick leaves prison
Michael Vick has left prison, an attorney for the suspended NFL star has confirmed.
Larry Woodward, a member of Vick's legal team, said Vick left the federal penitentiary at Leavenworth overnight, according to the Associated Press.
The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback has been serving a 23-month sentence for financing a dogfighting ring. He will serve the final two months of his sentence under home confinement at a home he owns in Hampton, Va.
Ironically, Vick has asked to work with the Humane Society to end dogfighting, according to published reports.
He is scheduled to be released from federal custody July 20 and hopes return to the NFL.
