Actress Mo’Nique won the award for best supporting actress in a film at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday for her role in the film, “Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire.”

Mo'Nique played Mary Jones, an abusive mother who preyed on her teenage daughter at every turn.

In her acceptance speech she said, "I celebrate this award with all the Preciouses, with all the Marys," I celebrate this award with every person that's ever been touched. It's now time to tell."
