A play about legendary singer Ray Charles is coming to Broadway.

'Unchain My Heart, the Ray Charles Musical' is set to begin previews Oct. 8 and open November 7 at the Shubert theater.

The play will be directed by Sheldon Epps, with a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks.

Parks, was the first African-American woman honored with a Pulitzer Prize for her play 'Topdog/Underdog' in 1997.
