Soulja Boy to remake "Juice"
Rapper Soulja Boy (“Crank Dat”) is remaking the 1992 urban classic “Juice.” I
nstead of being in New York, this time the movie is set in Atlanta.
In an interview with Rap-Up.com, Soulja Boy said that for the most part, he plans to stay true to the original. “It’s basically the same thing. It’s just 2011,” he said.
However, he told XXL magazine that there will be a few alterations. One difference is that Soulja Boy, who will reprise Tupac’s role, wants to show a softer side of his character Bishop. For example, in the beginning of the movie, Bishop helps a girl rescue her cat from a tree.
Soulja Boy also recently announced that Atlanta-based rapper Waka Flaka Flame will be in the movie as well. He will play a member of Bishop’s crew.
Sound off. Tell us what you think. Should Soulja Boy be attempting to remake Juice? Do you plan on seeing this movie?
