The Game apologizes on CNN

The Game called the Twitter flash mob that jammed phone lines at the LA Sheriff’s Office for nearly two hours last week a “joke gone wrong.”

Thousands of Game fans dialed in hoping for an opportunity to work with the rapper’s Black Wall Street label.

Authorities say Game sent out a tweet containing a number for the Compton station, urging people to call it if they wanted an internship with him. He has 580,000 followers.

The deluge of calls to the Sheriff's Department prevented deputies from responding quickly to emergencies, prompting an investigation.
