If you haven't heard, jazz musician Norman Brown's sold-out concert last weekend was fantastic!

The show opened with sax player Dante Lewis, who set the tone and kept the crowd on its toes. Then came stormin’ Norman, not missing a beat! The audience loved it.

Jazz Diva Tammy's shows are the talk of the town. I already have front-row seats in November for Alexander Zonjic and Jeff Lorber.

I attended a private screening of the new movie “Foot Loose,” which is coming out this weekend and is based on a small town affected by a tragic accident that claimed the lives of five teenagers. Although I'm an independent film watcher, I think you will enjoy “Foot Loose.”

I also made it to Brio's in SouthPark to check out one of my favorite jazz bands, Buff Dillard and Unique Blend. Nothing like sultry jazz, good food and good friends. Unique Blend plays there often. I'll keep you posted.

Have you gotten your costume ready for Halloween? Here are two grown-folks parties you don't want to miss -- Swag's 2nd Annual Halloween Bash at the Wine Up and Peace and Love's Halloween Party at Blue Restaurant and Bar. Now that you’ve been put on notice, get your costume early, and I hope to see you at both!
