Eliza Mckellar met Tyreke Johnson after he joined Rhema Family Worship Center where she was a member.

Although Tyreke was not one to spend time hanging around to talk after church, he soon got the attention of Eliza and their bishop. In fact, the bishop was so impressed with Tyreke that he was soon telling Eliza that Tyreke would one day make someone a great husband .

Although he had Eliza’s attention, when Tyreke asked Eliza to call him and give him her recipe for chicken and broccoli casserole, he soon figured out that if he wanted to hear from her he would have to make an effort.

On August 14, 2010, their bishop’s prediction came true when they exchanged wedding vows at Colonel Francis Beatty Park in Matthews.
