Brothas, if you think American women are unique in their ability to be demanding, check out this column by Nigerian writer Ayodele Alofe.

It’s basically a list of things women want from their men.

Hint: Diamonds, gifts and expensive vacations are nice, she says, but those things aren’t what women crave.

Here’s a sampling:

“She wants to know you care enough to let her watch her TV shows. That you will indeed, resist the urge to ask questions about the plot or flick to the sports channel.

“She wants a hug for no reason, a kiss with no strings attached, spontaneous foot and back rubs with shoulder massages thrown in when you see tiredness written across her face.”
