Oprah says sorry to author James Frey, but we don’t get it.

Remember him?

He’s the guy who embellished the story behind his bestselling book “A Million Little Pieces.” Oprah told him off on her show back in 2006 because she had endorsed his novel as one of her book club choices.

In the current issue of Vanity Fair magazine, Frey said Winfrey call him last year and apologized for her behavior. A winfrey spokesman confirmed his account.

Maybe it’s just us, but we don't see why Winfrey apologized. Frey basically played her. She had every right to let him have it, even on national TV. He made her look foolish, and that’s the bottom line. But what we really want to know is, when is she going to say sorry about the KFC chicken fiasco?
