Ms. Bessie Walker, passed away on July 2, 2011. She was born on September 6, 1903 to the late Charlie Walker and Frances Simpkins Walker in Calhoun Falls, SC.

In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Emma Heard of Charlotte, NC and Bessie Littlejohn of Buffalo, NY; son, Solomon Walker of Augusta, GA; sister-in-law, Georgie Walker of Buffalo, NY; 14 grands, 16 great-grands, 28 great-great grands, 6 great-great-great grands, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral service will be Friday, July 8, at 12 noon. Visitation will be from 11:30 - 12 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel.

The family would like to thank Saturn Nursing Home and Presbyterian Hospital Palliative and Hospice Care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care.
