Mrs. Edlue Crutcher Tucker of Charlotte peacefully passed away March 4, 2011 at Levine-Dickerson Hospice Center-Huntersville after a brief illness. She was 84 years old.

Mrs. Tucker was born in Madison, Alabama, March 12, 1926, the daughter of James and Rhoda Crutcher.

Mrs. Tucker was a pastry cook and loved baking cakes and pies. She was the operator of a home daycare center for over 20 years. Mrs. Tucker was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Village Glen CAO and Zion Renaissance Nutrition Program.

A homegoing celebration will be held Friday, March 11, at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church at 12 noon. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Left to cherish her memory are five children, five nieces, two nephews, and a host of grand and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 Norris Avenue, Charlotte, NC, 28206.
