Mr. Howard Claude Carr, 70, of Charlotte, NC, died at his residence on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010.

A Charlotte native, Mr. Carr was born March 10, 1940, to the late John Fred Carr and Lucy Kearns Carr.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Knotts Carr; Stepmother, Ruby Norman Carr; brothers, Olanda Sr. (Delia), Eric Wayne and Tyrone (Rose) and sisters, Shirley Watts, Marva Howey-Mitchell and Phyllis Searles (Anthony) all of Charlotte.

Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at Alexander Funeral Home, 1424 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28206. Visitation will be from 12-1:00 p.m. and the services will start at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at Beatties Ford Memorial Garden.
