On Mon, Sept. 28, Mr. Willie Joseph “Joe” Smith, Sr., 67, passed away at Carolinas Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Blandy Smith of 48 years; one son, Willie Joseph Smith, Jr.; three daughters, Robin Smith, Elizabeth Smith McCrorey and  Patricia Smith Miller (Clarence).

Services will be Sun, Oct. 4, at 12 p.m. at Zechariah Alexander, Sr. Memorial Chapel with visitation at 11 a.m. The burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.

The family will receive family, friends and guests at 2404 Statesville Avenue.

Alexander Funeral is serving the family.
