Mr. Willie James Gilliam, 82, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-Main in Charlotte.

He was a retiree of Herf Jones.

Left to continue his legacy are son Leroy Beatty Sr. of Union, S.C., and daughters Gladys Colson and Gloria Gilliam.

Funeral Service for Mr. Gilliam is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. at Reeder Memorial Baptist Church, the Rev. C. Don Steger officiating. Visitation at noon.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
