Mr. James Franklin Artis died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at his Charlotte residence. He was 72 years old.

Mr. Artis has worked as a forklift driver at Georgia Pacific.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 at St. Luke Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled for 12 p.m. at the church

Burial will be in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
