Mrs. Carrie A. Kirkpatrick, 87 passed away on Sunday June 12, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Charlotte.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born in Mecklenburg County in 1924, to John M. and Daisy M. Alexander. She was the widow of Louie J. Kirkpatrick.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick is survived by two brothers, Harold Alexander of Shreveport, La. and Landon Alexander and wife Hilda of Concord, N.C.; two sisters Eliza A. Ross and Jackie A. Stanley and husband Bradshaw of Charlotte; two foster sisters, Patricia Cochran and Joan Massey of Charlotte and a host of beloved family members and friends.

The funeral service was held this morning at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Charlotte.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church or Hospice in Palliative Care of Charlotte (1420 E. 7th Street). Please specify Memorials given in memory of Carrie A. Kirkpatrick.
