Mrs. Myrtle Maye Brewer Johnson of Charlotte died Sunday, November 27, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center. She was 81 years old.

A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, December 3, at 12:30 p.m. at Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. Elder T.W. Samuels will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Second Ward High School, class of 1947. She studied further at Carver College. She worked for more than 40 years as a clerical administrator at Greater Mount Moriah and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System.

She is survived by two sisters, Lucy E. Tillman and Willie B. Roper; a daughter, Marjorie “Marie” J. Dye; a son-in-law, Michael Dye; and four grandchildren, Jamurian Campbell, Tawanda Johnson, Starr Boller (Charles), and Aiesha Johnson, all of Charlotte.
