Tony Norman of Charlotte went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2011. He was 79 years old.

A funeral service is scheduled for 12 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Walls Memorial AME Zion Church, 2722 Bancroft St., Charlotte, NC, 28206. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Alexander Funeral Home is serving the Norman family.
