Say what, now?
Anita Baker will be back with a new album next year ... and she’s bring Snoop Dogg along for the ride?
Wow.
Of all the strange collabos I’ve seen, this just might take the cake.
Allhiphop.com is reporting that the two will cover Curtis Mayfield’s “Give Me Your Love (Love Song)” for songstress' proposed spring 2010 album.
“We do it in a very contemporary way, a very grown-up way,” Baker stated. “It’s lovely, who knew that Snoop is madly in love with his wife, you know? We’ve got a chance to see that in the way his music has grown, so when he comes in to do dialogue over that love theme, it becomes very grown-up and contemporary at the same time.”
When it comes to unlikely pairings, there are only two outcomes: genius or garbage. Can’t wait to see on which side this lands.
What’s on your mind, family? How do we feel about this duet?
