After having a monster 2009, Beyoncé is rewarding herself with time off.
But expect this to be more of a sabbatical than an extended vacation.
“It's definitely time to take a break, to recharge my batteries,” Beyoncé tells US Today. “I'd like to take about six months and not go into the studio. I need to just live life, to be inspired by things again.”
But expect to still see Bey around, at least in the coming weeks.
She’s scheduled to perform at the Grammys Jan. 31, where she’s up for 10 awards.
So, what will Beyoncé do with all that free time?
Maybe take some classes or see some Broadway shows, says the former Destiny’s Child frontwoman. And definitely spend time with nephew, Daniel.
No word yet if hubby Jay-Z can cash in on some quality time, too.
Hov begins the second leg of his North American tour next month, with stops in Atlanta and Greensboro. Young Jeezy and Trey Songz are scheduled to join him.
