File this under recession-buster entertainment, music lovers.
Neo-soul star Raheem DeVaughn is releasing a free mixtape, “The Art of Noise” Tuesday (June 16), according to Singersroom.com.
The mixtape will include 15 original, unreleased tracks.
DeVaughn, known for such singles as “Woman,” “Guess Who Loves You More” and “Customer,” says this is his way giving back to his fans, especially in a shaky economy.
“If my fans lose their jobs and their homes, and can’t put food on the table, they definitely cannot buy my music. They should not have to make that choice. ... I want to show love to my fans by giving them the Raheem DeVaughn music that they want.”
DeVaughn’s third studio album, “The Love and War MasterPeace,” is set for release later this year.
Will you download the freebie, family?
