Sony has been floating (for years) rumors of a new Sade album, her first since 2000. And fans were starting to lose hope it would happen before the end of the decade.

But now a new Web site has been launched to confirm that, yes, Virginia, there IS new material to be released in November - just in time for the holidays.

We'll bring you news on this developing story as we hear deets.

*Update: Billboard confirms that Sade and her band are working on a new album, BUT no release date yet.

"She is in the studio and the album will come when it is ready," a source at Sony tells Billboard. "You don't wait for years for one and then rush it."

The Sony source says the site posting the November date is not connected to the label.

I'm a huge Sade fan. I hope this is really true. It's been seven years since we've heard from her. I hear her band Sweetback have been busy over the years. Please keep us posted!

I'm very excited to hear that Sade is coming up with something new! I can't wait to give Diamond Life (my favorite) a rest!

I remember seeing Sade live in 2000 in Raleigh. Amazing show.
I wish I knew what it was like to put out projects every 9 or so years. Whenever the inspiration hits...
