Police arrested 14 people Thursday night at a DWI checkpoint in the 9200 block of University City Boulevard.

They also issued 118 citations.

The checkpoint ran from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. and involved 31 officers and multiple agencies, including Mecklenburg ABC, the Cornelius Police Department, UNC Charlotte police, N.C. Highway Patrol and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

The results were:

Driving while intoxicated -- 10

No operator’s License -- 22

Driving with license revoked/suspended -- 6

Open container of alcohol -- 4

Seat belt violation -- 3

Other (tags, inspections, insurance, window tint) -- 57

Underage possession of alcohol -- 10

Concealed weapon (handgun) -- 1

Possession of marijuana -- 3

Possession of drug paraphernalia -- 2
