A 17-year-old Charlotte woman was sentenced Thursday to 3 1/2 to five years in prison in connection with the stabbing death of an 18-year-old woman last June.
Tyesha Roberts pleaded guilty in Superior Court to voluntary manslaughter. She had entered an Alford plea, which allows defendants to plead guilty but not admit guilt.
She had been accused of stabbing La'Quega Hall during a fight early June 24, 2010, at a house in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, in northwest Charlotte. Hall was the mother of a three-month-old child.
