A day to forget
What a day for Tiger Woods.
The Associated Press on Wednesday voted him Athlete of the Decade, acknowledging his 64 wins around the world, including 12 major victories. But also on Wednesday, People.com reported that Wood’s wife, Elin, plans to leave the world’s No. 1 golfer.
"She's made up her mind,” the Web site quoted one source as saying. “There's nothing to think about: he's never going to change."
Meanwhile, former NBA star Charles Barkley says Woods changed his cell phone number the day after his Nov. 27 automobile accident and can’t be reached by his best buds, Sir Charles and Michael Jordan.
On a show that airs Sunday on the news network HLN, Barkley said: “I've been trying to get to him and can't get to him. It's very frustrating."
Barkley said he just wants to tell Woods: "Hey, man, we love you. If you need anything, pick up the phone."
His advice to Woods: "You should reach out to your celebrity friends when things go bad. They're the only people who understand what it's like."
Hmmm... we at the Q suspect that may be what led Tiger to trouble in the first place, listening to his celebrity pals.
