Meet the Debutantes

The young ladies photographed above have spent the last eight months learning what it means to be an effective leader, not only in their community, but in the world around them. Collectively they have completed over 300 hours of community service.
They’ve participated in activities designed to help them form bonds with family members and other young ladies their age.
They also completed a skill-building program that encourages social and professional etiquette; cultural enrichment; technology; financial and physical health; and community service.
After all that, they were finally ready to be formally introduced into society.
On April 9, the Rho Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., hosted its sixth Debutante Cotillion in uptown Charlotte.
This year‘s theme was “A Captivating Affair - Presenting the Pearls of Pride and Promise.”
