Another Garinger fight; 10 arrested
Observer Staff Reports
Ten students were arrested Tuesday after a fight broke out at Garinger High School.
It was at least the fourth fight on school grounds in the past month, including a fracas in the stands that forced the early end of a varsity football game on Oct. 22.
This week's fight, like at least one other brawl, started when students were arriving for classes.
Police told WCNC-TV, the Observer's news partner, that a group is behind the fights. And CMS law enforcement officials say they think they know what is causing the fights -- and how to put a stop to it.
WCNC said four of the 10 students arrested were minors. The others were identified by WCNC as Dondrake Blackmoore; Wendy Cabrera; Mark Jones; Estefani Mendoza; Tekonia Raiford; and Alegre Whitaker.
