Good Morning! The weekend is near, and it looks like it is going to be a beautiful one. There may be some rain tomorrow, but Saturday and Sunday the weatherman is calling for sunshine and highs in the 80’s. Today’s forecast includes mostly sunshine with a high of 76°.

Here’s what is brewing in the news this morning:

Arnold’s Baby Mama

When the news broke earlier this week that Arnold Schwarzenegger had fathered a secret love child with a member of his household staff, her identity was initially withheld. She has since been identified as 50-year-old Mildred “Patty” Baena.

More details have also emerged about Baena’s relationship with California’s former governor. Among them, is that although she had been reportedly passing off her alleged son with Schwarzenegger as being her ex-husband’s child, her divorce papers, indicate that she and her ex-husband have no minor children together. The ex-husband was not ordered to pay child support for the boy.

Apparently, Schwarzenegger has been supporting Baena and her son. It is reported that he even purchased a four-bedroom home with an in ground pool in Bakersfield, Calif for Baena, their son and her other children.

The age of their son was initially reported at 10 years old, but a birth certificate which lists Baena’s ex as the father, shows the child is actually closer to 14, which means she and Schwarzenegger’s wife Maria Shriver were both pregnant at the same time. Baena’s son and Shriver’s youngest child were born one week apart.

According to TMZ.com, Baena did not tell Schwarzenegger he was her son’s father until the boy was a toddler. The boy reportedly looks very much like Schwarzenegger.

Question: Do you think Maria was totally oblivious to her husband’s affair with this woman or do you think she knew what was going on and was simply turning a blind eye. Let us know your thoughts and opinions about this story in the comments section below.

Hair theft on the rise

From Chicago to Los Angeles, robberies of human hair used for weaves and extensions are on the rise, reports Theroot.com.

Criminals are breaking into beauty supply stores and salons, bypassing the cash register and the safe and heading straight for the hair. Police suspect that some have sophisticated operations and are even taking custom orders ahead of the robberies.

The most expensive type of hair can get thieves a profit of up to $200 a package when they resell it.

Earlier this month, My Trendy Place salon in Houston had $150,000 worth of hair stock stolen. In March, armed robbers took more than 80 packages of hair and killed a Michigan store owner. A shop in Texas had $85,000 worth stolen, one in California had $60,000 taken and a San Diego salon lost $10,000.
